Farsoon independently developed integrated open source software system for additive manufacturing integrates manufacturing and fault diagnosis, temperature field control, remote monitoring, data feedback and integrated control, and is compatible with third-party application software.

Buildstar is a flexible (universal) building package scheduling software that enables users to prepare building packages on Farsoon additive manufacturing system. Buildstar offers a series of major features that can accommodate multiple artifacts in a single build package. After the build package is created, Buildstar also provides a series of tools and modules to optimize the printing process.

STL
Farsoon software is fully compatible with the industry standard STL file format. Users can save the file format generated in the CAD software package directly as .STL and read it directly with Buildstar. At the same time, users can independently adjust the workspace view orientation or move the workpiece, rotate or adjust the workpiece scale at will, so as to make full use of the cylinder space and improve printing efficiency. The friendly human-computer interaction interface makes it more convenient for users to operate.
A complete support design module
Provide your metal parts with a variety of support types such as vertebral support, cross support, grid support and block support, support customers’ automatic and manual modification, and can display the support area in real time during the workpiece adjustment process, so that customers can easily choose the best placement. Fully automatic one-key vertebral support provides the best support solution for the denture industry, which can effectively improve customers’ product quality and production efficiency, while grid support and block support have flexible 2D and 3D support vertical plane editing functions, providing customers with effective and fast solutions for metal parts support design.
Flexible editing and verification functions
When users import 3D modeling files into Buildstar software, they can modify and manipulate the files as needed to create the best data package. Buildstar provides users with a variety of basic tools such as rotation, scaling, and arrangement. After the workpiece is placed, the system will perform collision checks, size compensation, and calibration on the workpieces in the build package. It can inform users in advance of the estimated build time and the amount of powder required, predict processing risks, and thus improve the quality and yield of the parts. Accurate material estimation and time estimation functions provide a reliable basis for customer production management.
Process optimization
Flexible layer-by-layer and line-by-line scanning preview functions enable accurate analysis of parts before processing. The slicing software has a variety of scanning strategies for customers to choose from, such as chessboard scanning, strip scanning, upper and lower surface partition scanning, upper and lower surface contour scanning, etc. It can predict areas with greater risks and provide methods to improve printing quality. It can also accurately calculate scanning time and material requirements, ensure sintering efficiency, improve sintering quality, and fully balance the internal stress of parts during the sintering process.



MakeStar - Powerful control and operating system
Makestar is a powerful operation control system for Farsoon metal machines and nylon machines. Makestar can read the build packages of Buildstar or other third-party package scheduling software and serves as the window (interface) for users to start executing build packages on the Farsoon system. The software is completely open source, and many distinctive features and modules can enhance the construction process.
