From rapid prototyping and low-volume production to industrial additive manufacturing systems, ChanHonTech presented localized 3D printing solutions for manufacturers in Vietnam.
From June 17 to 19, 2026, ChanHonTech participated in the Vietnam Industrial & Manufacturing Fair, VIMF 2026, at WTC EXPO in Binh Duong. At Booth 172A, our team met with customers and partners from manufacturing, tooling, automation, automotive components, robotics and product development.
For ChanHonTech, the exhibition was more than an opportunity to display 3D-printed parts. It was a valuable platform for understanding real manufacturing challenges, discussing upcoming projects and demonstrating how additive manufacturing can be integrated into practical production workflows.
From One Prototype to Low-Volume Production
Traditional manufacturing often requires tooling investment and a long preparation period. This may not be suitable when a company is still validating its design or only needs one, ten or one hundred parts.
At VIMF 2026, ChanHonTech highlighted how 3D printing can provide a more flexible path:
- Parts can be produced directly from digital 3D files;
- No mold is required for prototyping and low-volume production;
- Design concepts can be converted into physical parts more quickly;
- Multiple design iterations can be completed before mass production;
- Processes and materials can be selected according to appearance, strength, temperature resistance and end-use requirements.
Whether a customer needs a first concept model, a functional prototype or a small production batch, additive manufacturing can reduce the barriers between design and physical production.
Polymer and Metal Additive Manufacturing Solutions
No single 3D printing process is suitable for every part. Surface quality, mechanical performance, dimensional accuracy, production quantity and budget must all be considered.
At the exhibition, ChanHonTech introduced several manufacturing routes for different applications.
SLA Resin 3D Printing
SLA is suitable for parts that require fine details, smooth surfaces and high visual quality.
Typical applications include product housings, appearance models, assembly verification parts, cultural and creative models, display components and footwear mold patterns.
SLA parts can also be combined with sanding, painting, electroplating and other surface-finishing processes.
SLS Nylon 3D Printing
SLS is well suited to functional polymer components that require strength, durability and design freedom.
Because the surrounding powder supports the parts during production, SLS can manufacture complex geometries without conventional support structures. This makes it suitable for housings, brackets, clips, ducts, assemblies and low-volume functional parts.
Materials such as PA12, glass-filled nylon and TPU can be selected according to stiffness, toughness and flexibility requirements.
SLM Metal 3D Printing
For metal functional parts, lightweight structures, internal channels and geometries that are difficult to manufacture conventionally, SLM metal additive manufacturing creates new possibilities.
ChanHonTech can evaluate projects using stainless steel, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys and tool steels.
Metal printing can also be combined with CNC machining, heat treatment, wire EDM, sandblasting and surface finishing to achieve the required final specifications.
In addition to metal 3D printing services, ChanHonTech provides industrial additive manufacturing equipment and supporting solutions for customers planning to build in-house production capabilities.
More Than Printing
Many of the questions raised by visitors at VIMF 2026 went beyond whether a part could be printed.
Customers also wanted to understand:
- Which process is most suitable for the component?
- Can the printed part be assembled or used directly?
- How can dimensional tolerances be controlled?
- Is CNC machining required after printing?
- Can threaded inserts or Helicoils be installed?
- Can the surface be painted, anodized or plated?
- What are the cost and lead time for low-volume production?
- Can the products be delivered locally in Vietnam with a VAT invoice?
For this reason, ChanHonTech does not treat 3D printing as an isolated manufacturing step.
Our services can cover file evaluation, process selection, material recommendations, printing, post-processing, inspection and delivery. By combining SLA, SLS, SLM, FDM, CNC machining, molding, casting and surface-finishing resources, we help customers select a manufacturing route based on the actual requirements of the project.
Local Presence in Vietnam, Supported by a Regional Network
Localization is central to ChanHonTech’s development in Southeast Asia.
The company operates through a regional cooperation model in which Shenzhen provides technical and supply-chain support, Vietnam serves as the primary local service base, and Indonesia is developed as an important growth market.
Our Shenzhen team supports technical evaluation, complex projects and supply-chain coordination. The Vietnam team provides local communication, production coordination, delivery and after-sales assistance. Our Indonesia operation continues to expand local market and service capabilities.
In Vietnam, ChanHonTech can provide not only equipment and technical consultation, but also local production, project follow-up, delivery support and VAT invoicing.
This localized structure helps reduce communication barriers and allows customers to receive faster responses during design revisions, sample confirmation and production.
Turning Technical Discussions into Real Projects
The most valuable part of VIMF 2026 was the opportunity to discuss real applications directly with manufacturers.
During the exhibition, our team exchanged ideas about product housings, mechanical components, robot parts, tooling components, metal functional parts and low-volume products.
Many of these projects cannot be solved simply by choosing one printing technology. They require a balance between performance, cost, production quantity, surface finish and lead time.
These conversations reinforced an important principle:
Manufacturers do not only need a machine or a printing process. They need a production route that can complete the project successfully.
Additive manufacturing creates greater value when it is combined with engineering evaluation, local support, post-processing, supply-chain coordination and reliable delivery.
Thank You for Meeting ChanHonTech at VIMF 2026
We sincerely thank every customer, partner and industry professional who visited ChanHonTech at Booth 172 during VIMF 2026.
The exhibition has concluded, but our conversations and services continue. Our team will follow up on the projects discussed at the show, including file evaluation, material selection, sample production, technical proposals and equipment consultation.
Looking ahead, ChanHonTech will continue strengthening its local manufacturing and service capabilities in Vietnam while improving cooperation among its teams in China, Vietnam and Indonesia.
From one prototype to low-volume production, from polymer parts to metal components, and from printing services to industrial equipment, ChanHonTech looks forward to helping more manufacturers turn 3D printing into practical production capability
